This may sound a bit like a Sgrios mass. That may be because of my close personal friendship with Brother Phever and Lady Paramour. Nature is beautiful and full of wonder, but Nature is also cruel. It gives us life and allows us to grow and nurture ourselves and others. But with those bonds also comes the inevitability of parting. This, too, is part of nature's cycle.
But, that is not the end.Our souls resist death. They yearn to be reborn anew, starting the cycle again. In a way, the defiance that exists inside every one of us seeks to prolong our ends, even if we logically know it must pass. Cherish your time and growth in life, and find rest and peace in death as you prepare to embark on a new journey beyond death's horizon. May all of us take the resilience embodied in us by Cail's ideals keep us pushing ever further.
