Cail Mass: Introduction to Cail

 ((6/1/2025))

Cail is the God of harmony and nature. He was born from the union of Glioca, Goddess of love and compassion, and Ceannlaidir, God of war and conflict. The two could not be more opposite of each other, but in their combination, it creates a beautiful contradiction. Strength and Compassion. War and Peace. All these things together make nature, and can contribute to balance.

While a peaceful God by His nature, stripped of His ability to wield weapons by His Father, who feared his Strength, He also represents resistance. Many who feel oppressed pray to Him for guidance and deliverance. This may well be why Cail's temple is in the town of Undine, which chafes under the unjust rule of the Kingdom of Loures. Undine itself is a bastion of nature with many monks calling it their home.

So you may ask yourself: why worship Cail? What does He bring to the table? Well, in my humble opinion, balance is paramount to a healthy and long Aisling lifestyle. He teaches us to do things in moderation, but He also teaches us to defend ourselves.

Like His Mother, we offer a helping hand to those who need succor. Like His Father, we extend the other fist to defend ourselves. Unlike His Father, we do not seek conquest or to utterly destroy our foes.

In a few words: Cail is strength and wisdom in combined. Incredible power, but also the wisdom to know when not to use it. Cail shares this power with Aislings.

This is my short introduction to Cail. I hope to stir at least some interest in Him. I'd love to answer any questions one may have.

Other than that, I just want to say: Welcome to Temuair. It's a magical place, even without the intervention of the Divine.

Cail Mass: Invasive Species Prevention

Deoch 210, 10th Moon, 5th Sun ((3/20/2025))

It's another glorious day in nature. I love the feel of the sand between my toes. The beach isn't normally this popular, but we're all here for a singular purpose; to drive out the snakes that have invaded the beaches.

These snakes are unnaturally vicious, attacking all indiscriminately. This leads me to believe that they're an invasive species, and thus we are doing our part to restore Cail's harmony by keeping them in check.

Extermination of invasive species is certainly one way to restore balance, but I find it's best to take preventative measures before things become so out of hand. As such, I'd like to discuss a few ways you can help with that! This doesn't just apply to snakes, but also to plants, insects, and even plants that can choke out an ecosystem if they're introduced to the wrong one.

One of the most important ones is something that I think all adventurous Aislings should be keenly aware of; hiking through new areas! It's vital that you clean off your shoes after trekking through nature so as to not track seeds or even small insects and parasites into unfamiliar biomes. Even what might seem like a small thing can thrive and disturb the natural balance.

Another one is something our merchants and sailors should be careful of; boat inspection. Boats can have stowaways that can sneak off at an unfamiliar destination and surge into the wilds. Stowaways such as large snakes, perhaps. Snakes that like to steal sewing machines from the unaware, and carry copious amounts of staves.

In this conservation effort, while I applaud everyone for doing their part to keep the invasive snakes in-check, it is distressing to see all these discarded staves on the beach as we recuperate before setting out again. I'd simply like to ask that you turn in your staves to Patrick over there; I've spoken with him and he will make sure they are disposed of carefully rather than buried haphazardly on the beach.

In summary: we can help prevent invasive species from getting a foothold in an environment with increased vigilance We need not always react to a crisis, but can instead be proactive. Thank you, and may Cail continue to bless us with nature's beauty.

Cail Mass: Temuair and Litter

Welcome to the House of Cail. My name is Nadja; I’m doing my best to revive interest in Cail and nature as a whole. I have a simple message today, but one that is near and dear to my heart. There is a problem in Temuair, and I am sure you have all noticed it.

I speak, of course, of litter. Garbage. Junk strewn about as far as the eye can see. Temuair is a land of vast beauty and material wealth. however... from the streets of Mileth, to the pass through the mountains at Pravat Cave and even the jewel-encrusted streets of Rucesion, Aislings discard their unwanted possessions on the path-side.

My request is simple, but it is from the heart; please pick up trash when you see it. Not only will Cail smile, I feel like removing the clutter from populated zones will also improve the mood of all Aislings alike.

You may ask yourself: what do I do with all my unwanted things? This is a fair question... but there are solutions. Throughout Temuair, we have many beggars scraping by. They gladly take donations from Aislings. You can either talk to them or hand the items directly to them ((drag and drop)).

There is also the Mileth Altar. Any items dropped within can be offered up to the gods. I say "trash," but many of the items on the floor were once valuable treasures. I think if offered up in good faith, the Gods would smile upon your offering.

That is all I truly have to say. To summarize: pollution not only harms our environment, but I feel it harms our moods. Protect nature, and bring a smile to other's faces.
