Cail mass: Ego pt 3 (final)

Hello and welcome all!

If you have any questions or comments, please wait

until the end and I'll be happy to discuss further!

Today is the third part, and last, in this series of

masses. Please remember nothing about people is ever

one-size-fits-all, we're just talking about ways

to improve Balance into our lives. The first step to

overcome any challenge, is to understand the it.

Last week, we talked about ego being reshaped as

new experiences either enrich or diminish it and

today we'll continue on this path.

As you're getting that notion that your ego

is kind of expanding out and it's dissolving, you

start to notice that it's easier to control

yourself. You start to notice you're not so

neurotic. You're not so anxious. You're not so

worried all the time. Your thoughts do not have

a grasp over you. Maybe you don't identify with

certain thoughts the way that you used to in

the past simply because you've suffered too much

from that. I mean, and that's basically what

monks do is they sit for hours and hours every

day for tens and tens of years until eventually

their ego kind of just crumbles under its own weight

and then they get this relief. But I think all of

us are going through that process. This is a

gradual process that you go through. And so that

is basically what ego is. And I think that, you

know, all of us mortals, unless we're monks who

have transcended enlightenment, all of us mortals

have a really strong sense of ego. And I'm not really

expecting you to go out there and to solve that

problem right now. I just want you to be aware of

it. I want you to understand how judgmental you are.

As am I. This is huge. How many judgments are you

making per day? Track this. Just spend a day

monitoring how much you're judging things. And

by judging, I simply mean putting a value on it.

Because there's two ways to go about life. Well

it's more of a spectrum, but we're going to talk

about the two poles of this spectrum, the two ends.

One end is where everything is judged according to

some sort of metric, some sort of value. That's one

way. The other way is to just be in life. Be totally

in the moment and everything is okay. Nothing is bad.

Nothing is good. Everything just is. It's being

right. Those are the two far ends of the spectrum.

Most of us are somewhere in the middle. although I

would argue much much further towards this scanning

and judging type of mindset. In this scanning and

judging mindset, everything that you're looking at,

you're judging and you're evaluating.

You know, oh,

he didn't do that. Oh, he just sold a bad code to

someone. He's scamming. That's bad. Oh, she told me

that she didn't like my shirt. She was rude. That's

bad. Or it's like, oh, she didn't approve of me

because of what I said. That's bad. We go through our

whole day, week and our whole life like thisn judging.

Everything has some sort of purpose. Things that

happen that are favorable to our ego, we love and

we're happy about. The things that are unfavorable,

we're depressed about, we're miserable about,

we're frustrated about. So what happens is that we

go through life playing this up and down game.

This whole game of chasing after things that

are good and and avoiding the things that are bad. As

your ego is dissolved and you see yourself as more part

of the whole universe and just being more in the

present moment, then you start to disidentify with that

and you move away from the judgment and you become more

at peace, more calm, more your natural you. You raise

your level of consciousness. So that's ultimately

what ego is about. It's a mountain of "you" that

overthinks and judges a lot, based on your past

experiences.

Alright, this concludes today's session

about ego. I hope you've enjoyed it and

with this, the series is completed!

Now let's all praise Cail together, to help us reach

Balance in both mind, and body.

Cail Mass: Ego part 2!

Hello and welcome all!

If you have any questions or comments, please wait

until the end and I'll be happy to discuss further!

Today is the second part in a series of three scheduled

masses. Last week, we talked about what ego is. We said

that ego is basically the sum of your experiences,

behaviors, all your actions, all your beliefs, all your

thoughts.  It is a very arbitrary thing. And today

we're going to continue our philosophical analysis

of ego, more specifically, what happens when your

ego is removed from "you".

Even though we think that ego is so precious that

we can't change it, that if we changed our most

cherished beliefs, then something horrible would

happen: The world would collapse, but in reality,

what happens is that the world would not collapse.

Only your ego would collapse. What would happen

is that your ego would evolve to a higher level

of consciousness, and in that new state, if you

do this process correctly, then that ego will be

lessened. It will be less judgmental. It will

have less boundary between itself and the rest

of the world. It'll be more calm. It'll be less

neurotic. It'll be more comfortable. It'll be in

a position to perform better. So you get better

results out of your life when you numb that ego

down and you rub it out and you kill it. And

the ultimate end of this is the process and

the state of enlightenment, which aislings can

reach, and which monks reach after decades of

meditation and contemplation. They literally

numb down their ego so much that they dissolve

it and they no longer have that boundary between

themselves and the rest of the world. They feel

a sense of oneness that we can't even imagine.

I have not gone through this process although this

is something that I'm interested in researching

right now and it's going to take me some time

to get to where I want to be. Those who've gone

through this process reported they have a sense

of oneness with the world, with the universe.

What Oneness means is that you are no longer

distinct from anything else, you see yourself

as part of everything else, connected to

everything else and you no longer judge things

as good or bad and you no longer cling to your

beliefs so much and you no longer resist suffering

and you no longer resist pain. You just kind of

go with the flow. When you do that, well, you get

a tremendous sense of personal power, control over

yourself, emotional stability, because nothing

can shake you because what do you care? You are

one with the world. Literally, you do not care

because you see as everything being part of you.

You see you being part of everything else.

So there is no good and bad. There is nothing

that needs to be corrected. There is nothing

that is distinct from you. Your body getting

cut or even death is not a big deal because

you're just part of the system.  The first time

you hear about it, you might think that's kind

of kind of wacky, kind of far out there and

metaphysical and uh not really the thing for me.

I would argue it's just that most people do not

reach that complete state of enlightenment.

What happens though is that throughout your life,

whether you even undertake this process or you

don't, you're going to be forced to adjust your

ego to the circumstances that are happening to you.

Except what's going to happen is there's going to

be a lot of resistance. So, for example, maybe you

have a horrible breakup. You have a divorce and that

just has a big traumatic scar on you, on your

ego and now your ego has had to change, to

adapt to that pressure. Or maybe you do

meditation and it makes you feel a little

bit more calm, a little bit more relaxed, a

little bit more connected to the world. You're

not completely connected. You've still got your

ego, but it's a little bit rubbed out. It's a

little bit numbed down. And so through this kind

of process, of just living life and learning

about life and experiencing the ups&downs, your

ego evolves. And it goes from the kind of ego

that it was when you were a kid. Basically, it

was all "me me", you know: yelling at your mom

to come help you, protect and provide some comfort.

Then it kinds of goes away from that and you become

more responsible, more independent, more open-minded.

And slowly as you're exposed to more experiences in

life, you become more and more open-minded.

And you start to see that good and bad is

really a more relative thing than you ever

thought it was.

Alright, this concludes today's session

about ego. I hope you've enjoyed it and

we will see you next week for the third

part of this series.

Now let's all praise Cail together.

Cail Mass: Ego part 1

Hello and welcome all!

If you have any questions or comments, please wait

until the end and I'll be happy to discuss further!

Today is the first part in a series of three scheduled

masses. During this series we are going to delve into

the subject of ego.

Let's talk a little bit about what ego is. I'm sure

you've heard about it. I'm sure you've heard people

talking about the problems thatthe ego can cause

for you. You've probably heard about ego death.

You've probably heard about both positive and

negative sides of ego. So let's talk about ego

and specifically let's talk about how you can

understand this concept and relate it to success

and personal development. How to get more success

in your life by understanding ego. All right. So

what is ego? Ego is basically that aspect of

yourself that you consider you. So that is when

I say "you" and I say your name and you think

"yeah that's me". That is ego. Ego is basically your

self-image of who you are. So ego is a complex

construct in your mind. It's sitting both at the

conscious and very very deep subconscious level.

So ego is that "I" that you think you are. It's

the thoughts and the emotions that you are

identified with. It's the beliefs that you think

are rock solid and completely true. It's what you

think reality is like. It is a very big and deep

construct. It's like a gigantic iceberg and

JUST THE TIP of it like, the 10% of it, is sticking

out of the water and the other 90% are all submerged.

Really, you don't know what they are. It's just

operating. It's just working. So the ego, the

fundamental thing it does, is that it separates

itself from everything else that's out in the

world. So if you're coming from the ego, and

this is 99.999% of aislings, including myself,

is what you do is you say "Okay, this is me and

everything else you look at as not you", right?

That desk is not you. That other person is not

you. Medenia is not you. So you are very distinct.

You are just your mind and your body. This skin

that you've got and everything beyond your skin

is something else. So you have that very clear

separation. This is something that you get as

an aisling who needs to survive and depends on

survival and reproduction. And so we as a species

and really every living creature has a sense

of this, this sense of "I"ness, the sense of

"this is me". This is what's really really

important and the other stuff, not so important.

Sure, you can love your spouse and you can love

your kids and you can love the business that you

built. You can even love your hp/mp or your

goldbars, but there's still a big difference

between that and really being identified with

yourself. So the ego is that identification

with yourself. Now, why are we even talking

about ego? What's the big deal? Okay, so it

seems that this is kind of an intuitive notion.

Well, the problem there is that the ego is very

clingy, the ego is very self-preservational, so

what it does, especially if you're trying to get

to higher levels of achievement, success or

consciousness in your life, is that the ego

tends to hold you back because it's got a lot

of inertia and weight to it. It doesn't always

want to go out there and explore reality for

what it really is because what's happened is

that ego has been built up regardless of how

attached you are to yourself right now. The

fact is that you and your notion of you is

highly, highly illusory and fictious. I know

you don't want to hear that and I don't want

to hear it either. The ego doesn't want to

hear it, but it's a very arbitrary way in

which the ego came about. It just came about

through the experiences that you had in your

early childhood and then early adulthood, all

the way up to now. Every experience that you

had through your whole life, from birth to this

current double-moon, this current day, has added

something to your ego. It's created this giant

yarn ball of all these different strands, all

tightly interwoven. It's like an object. It's like

a thing. It's got its own mass to it. It's hard to

recognize that. It's hard to go in there and pull

a strand out and create something actually useful

out of it. So that's what a lot of personal

development is about. It's about working with

your ego. Because if your ego is too big, and

that's what we say when we say "This aisling has a

really big ego". What does that usually mean? That

means, yeah, he's kind of a he's a jackass, he's

stubborn, he's not open-minded, right? That's

kind of what it is, but that's very surface level

understanding of ego. A much deeper understanding

of ego is that you've got these beliefs and you've

got this big network, this ball of yarn that is

responsible for all your behaviors, all your actions,

all your beliefs, all your thoughts.

This is a very arbitrary thing.

Alright, this concludes today's session

about ego. I hope you've enjoyed it and

we will see you next week for the second

part of this series.

Now let's all praise Cail together.

Cail Mass: Discover Inner PEace part 6/6

Hello and welcome folks!

I'm happy to see you all new and returning to

this series about finding Inner Peace.

Today will be the sixth and last part.

In the first session, we have talked about

the importance of focusing on the present moment.

Then, in the second session, we discussed

the importance of letting go of things we cannot

control, including my mass timer ^^;

After that, in the 3rd session, we talked really

really fast about the importance of keeping

things simple, so we don't overthink too much!

In the fourth session, we also talked about how

our thoughts do not define who we are. Let them

come, let them go, keep our minds clear.

Then last week we talked about

how breathing exercises are able to help us

stay anchored in the present moment.

And now the sixth and final lesson:

Trust in impermanence.

Your struggles will pass. Nothing in life lasts

forever and that includes your struggles.

The teaching of impermanence reminds us that

everything both good and bad is always in a state

of change. This means that even your fears,

anxieties and the overwhelming thoughts you

may be experiencing right now are not permanent.

They too will pass. All conditioned things are

impermanent, strive on with diligence. This

profound wisdom teaches us that everything is

in constant flux and nothing is ever fixed.

When we grasp this truth, we canbegin to free

ourselves from the grip of overthinking.

Overthinking often arises from the fear that

things will never change, that we are stuck in a

NeverEnding cycle of worry but when we recognize

that everything, even our struggles is temporary,

we can let go of that fear and find peace in the

knowledge that things will shift. Nothing is

permanent, all things are subject to change.

This understanding helps us to let go of the

belief that our challenges will last forever and

in doing so, we release the burden of overthinking.

Now that you've learned these key teachings, it's

time to take action: embrace the present moment.

Let go of unnecessary thoughts that keep you

trapped in the past or future. Simplify your life

and remember nothing lasts forever, not even your

struggles. Trust in impermanence. Remember your

mind is a powerful tool. With patience and practice

you can train it to focus. Calm down and find true

peace. Let's continue our journey toward mindfulness

and inner peace together. Stay present in the moment.

Stay peaceful and may you find Tranquility in every

moment.

Thank you for coming all the way down here to listen

to me talk! This was the sixth and last part in

this series about finding one's Inner Peace!

I hope you've enjoyed it and learned something new!

May Cail guide us to balance in both body and

mind, brothers and sisters.

Let's all praise Cail together!

Cail Mass: Discover Inner Peace part 5

Hello and welcome folks!

I'm happy to see you all new and returning to

this series about finding Inner Peace.

Today will be the fifth part.

In the first session, we have talked about

the importance of focusing on the present moment.

Then, in the second session, we discussed

the importance of letting go of things we cannot

control, including my mass timer ^^;

After that, in the 3rd session, we talked really

really fast about the importance of keeping

things simple, so we don't overthink too much!

Last week, we also talked about how our thoughts do not

define who we are. Let them come, let them go, keep our

minds clear.

And now for the number five:

Practice Mindfulness.

Anchor yourself in your breath in

a world that moves faster every day. Our minds can

often feel like they're racing, overwhelmed with

thoughts, worries and distractions. The mind jumps from

one thought to the next, creating an endless cycle of

overthinking and stress, but there's a simple yet

profound practice that can help us break this

cycle and find peace.

Mindfulness.

Mindfulness is the art of being fully present, paying

attention to the moment, without judgment. It's about

observing our thoughts, emotions and physical

sensations without getting swept away by them. It's not

about controlling or forcing the mind to be quiet, but

rather allowing ourselves to be aware of what's

happening right now, without attachment, without trying

to change it. One of the most effective ways to

practice mindfulness is by focusing on your breath.

When you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders

or when your thoughts start spiraling, simply return

to your breath. Take a deep breath in, hold for a

moment and then exhale slowly. Each breath is an

anchor, drawing you back into the present moment.

When the mind is calm, the breath is calm. This

beautiful teaching reminds us of the deep

connection between our mind and our breath.

When we consciously focus on the rhythm of our breath,

we can calm the storm within our minds. The breath

becomes a gentle anchor, stopping the cycle of

overthinking and returning us to a place of Stillness.

Think about it: the mind is everything, everything

that you think, you become. Our thoughts shape our

reality when we are constantly consumed by chaotic

uncontrollable thoughts, we lose our peace and our

Clarity but when we practice mindfulness and focus on

our breath, we train our mind to be calm and focused,

free from the grip of overthinking. it's like a river.

Imagine that your thoughts are like leaves floating on

the water, constantly drifting by. If you try to grab

every leaf, the water only becomes more turbulent,

but if you simply let them flow by, without attachment,

the river remains peaceful and so does your mind.

The more you practice mindfulness, the more you train

your mind to return to the present moment to anchor

itself in the peace that is always available to us.

With each mindful, full breath, you regain control

over your thoughts and you begin to experience the

freedom of living fully in the here and now.

So the next time you feel overwhelmed, remember:

anchor yourself in your breath. Let each inhale

and exhale guide you back to the present moment. By

practicing mindfulness, you will gradually find that

overthinking loses its power over you and a sense of

calm and clarity begins to fill your mind.

This concludes today's lesson in finding one's

Inner Peace, which was the fifth part in the series.

I will see you again in a few days for the sixth part.

Next one will be the last sermon in this Inner Peace

series!

May Cail guide us to balance in both body and

mind, brothers and sisters.

Let us praise Him together!

Cail Mass: Deny an Absolute

Torrential Floods, Famine inducing Droughts, two extremes opposites to each others stories. Oversaturation of life giving water sent in mass, dry heat a theft of life from the land and in do time, ourselves.

In life and in our stories we find ourselves Drowned and Starved. These are truths evident if you are looking closely. Saturated in Emotion, Trauma, Grief, Circumstance. Starvation for Understanding, Truth, Companionship. While opposites in their nature, both have potential to ruin two extremes. For who can oppose the fierce nature of the world if not us?

Young Aislings, it is us. I come to you today not to preach of submission to Catastrophe and Doom, but to reveal that these paths are constantly changing, when the ground shifts beneath us Balance is required in walking paths so treacherous. As day turns to night, as the moon and sun dance their endless waltz in the sky, there are truths that rest in between such immovable deities, take neither extreme. There are truths in paths that remain hidden to the eye, I implore you to seek out such paths, especially when the roads ahead look hopeless. Absolutes are in themselves extremes and lack the capability to see Alternatives. Be the equalizer, thrust your weight onto the scales of fate and tip the unbalanced extremes back to Center. Do not let the waters of life sweep you under, do not let the Drought of hardship consume your spirit. The odds will always be in your favor when met with adversity, so long as you defy those fates that doom us all to failure.

A moment to Meditate.
Please feel free to join me. ((irl too!))

Cail mass: Discover your Inner Peace part 4

Hello, welcome folks!

I'm happy to see you all new and returning to

this series about finding Inner Peace.

Today will be the fourth part.

In the first session, we have talked about

the importance of focusing on the present moment.

Then, in the second session, we discussed

the importance of letting go of things we cannot

control, including my mass timer ^^;

After that, in the 3rd session, we talked really

really fast about the importance of keeping

things simple, so we don't overthink too much!

Number four: Your thoughts come and go and

they don't define you. How many times have

we felt completely overwhelmed by our thoughts

as if they're drowning us in a sea of confusion

and doubt? We all know the feeling our minds

become cluttered like a stormy sky filled

with dark swirling clouds that seem to never

end. Each thought, whether it's from the

past, present, or future adds to the chaos

until we can barely hear ourselves think.

It feels as though we're stuck in a mental

fog, unable to escape, but Cail offers us

a profound way to navigate this mental

storm. He teaches us to view our thoughts

as clouds in the sky: impermanent, fleeting

and constantly changing, like clouds that

pass by in the blink of an eye. Our thoughts

come and go and they don't define us.

Cail's wisdom reminds us that we are not

our thoughts. We are the awareness observing

them. A wise monk once said: "With our thoughts,

we make the world". This is a powerful reminder

that the way we perceive and engage with our

thoughts shapes our reality. The challenge lies

in not attaching ourselves to every thought

that arises. We don't need to identify with

them or let them take control of our minds.

Just like the clouds above, our thoughts

are temporary visitors in the vast Sky of

our mind. They may appear, but they don't

stay forever. When we stop clinging to our

thoughts, we begin to free ourselves from

their hold. Imagine sitting by a calm river,

watching the water flow smoothly past you.

As you observe, you notice leaves drifting

down the stream, moving gently along with

the current. Do you reach out to grab each

leaf trying, to control them? No. You allow

them to float by, knowing that more leaves

will come and the river will continue to

flow, unhurried and unchanged. Similarly,

we can learn to let our thoughts come and

go without clinging to them. When a thought

arises, whether it's a worry, a regret,

or a fleeting idea, we can simply

acknowledge it and then let it pass without

grabbing hold of it. The more we practice

this, the easier it becomes to release our

thoughts and over time we find that the

storm of overthinking naturally begins to

calm. Cail's teachings invite us to shift

our perspective on our thoughts. Our life

is shaped by our mind, for we become what

we think. This profound statement reminds

us that the quality of our thoughts directly

influences the quality of our lives. When

we allow negative, restless or overactive

thoughts to pass without clinging to them, we

create space for clarity and peace to emerge.

By letting go of our attachment to thoughts,

we're not trying to suppress them or push

them away, we are simply allowing them to

flow, like the leaves on the river, knowing

that they will pass. With this shift in

mindset, we start to experience more inner

calm, less mental clutter and a greater sense

of freedom. In the same way that clouds appear

in the sky and then disappear, our thoughts

will continue to arise and fade, but when

we stop trying to control them or attach

meaning to them, we find ourselves in a state

of peaceful presence, free from the weight of

overthinking. As you go through your day,

remember that your thoughts are like passing

clouds, they are not permanent. They do not

define who you are. Let them come, let them

go, and in doing so, you will begin to

experience life with greater Clarity,

peace and ease.

This concludes today's lesson in finding one's

Inner Peace, which was the fourth part in the series.

I will see you again in a few days for the fifth and

sixth parts. The last lessons are much shorter, so I

combined them together.

May Cail guide us to balance in both body and

mind, brothers and sisters.

Let us praise Him together!
